Well, I entered two paintings in a show, but they were rejected. See, I almost said that I was rejected, but caught myself. The other entries were simply better. I had better paintings, but they haven't been varnished and framed yet. Oh, well. I took a shot. The real kicker in these situations is the ignominy of having to go pick them up.
