Slightly Better Day

The laundry is in the dryer. I count it as a major miracle that this morning, I loaded the washing machine evenly enough that it didn't begin banging like a timpani during the spin cycle. It wouldn't be so terrible, but I have a neighbor on the opposite side of that laundry wall. He's got a nice, newer front-loader that doesn't get unbalanced. I could waste my time with envy, but today, I'll try to remember that I have a laundry room, unlike my best friend. Unlike many people who have no homes.

The above painting is of the moon over North Truro, Encaustic on panel, 12"x16". It's a favorite of mine, and oddly enough, still available.
