I found out recently that one of our tenors from the little group, the Outer Cape Chorale Chamber Singers has resigned. He's a very good singer, and has a tremendous memory, nearly always having the pieces memorized before anyone else in the group. But his health concerns are valid, as he and his wife are in high-risk categories. I'm going to miss his gentle presence, and the whole group is going to miss his singing. We're down to one or two tenors now, with another one going through chemo and radiation. We'll have to recruit, and last year, the same search was grueling. This group is so beautiful and tightly knit that when one member goes, it leaves a jagged hole. I can't imagine what Allison, our fearless leader is going through. How can we maintain momentum with an unbalanced group sound?
